Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a genuine passion for supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviour?
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our nurturing team in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in South London, working with a close-knit group of just seven pupils. With small class sizes, this role offers the unique opportunity to provide tailored support and make a meaningful impact on students' educational and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and tailored learning plans.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, fostering their academic and emotional development.
Implement strategies to manage and support students with challenging behaviour.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting well-being and confidence.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with children with EBD and challenging behaviour (essential).
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
A commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
This is a long-term role, offering the rewarding experience of helping children thrive in a supportive and focused environment.
