Learning Support Assistant – Haringey - Immediate 
specialist deaf provision in Haringey is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with hearing impairments and additional Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly supportive team, ensuring that children receive the tailored support they need to succeed in their learning and development. 
 
Role Overview 

  • Position: Learning Support Assistant 
  • Location: Haringey 
  • Start Date: Immediate 
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent 
  • Salary: £29,000 - £30,000 (Term Time Only Pro Rata) 

 
The ideal candidate will: 

  • Have experience working with SEN students within a school setting (Essential) 
  • Be willing to learn British Sign Language (BSL) to support students with hearing impairments (No prior BSL knowledge required) 
  • Be able to support students with communication, sensory, and learning needs 
  • Have a patient and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs 
  • Work well within a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, SENCOs, and specialist staff 

 
Your Responsibilities: 

  • Provide individual and small-group support for students with hearing impairments and SEN 
  • Assist in developing communication strategies, including the use of visual aids and alternative methods 
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities 
  • Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment 
  • Work alongside teachers and therapists to implement individual learning plans
