Learning Support Assistant (Primary School)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Walthamstow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development, particularly those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.

Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.

Support children's social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour.

Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (EHCPs).

Adapt learning materials to suit the needs of individual pupils.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Provide feedback on student progress to teachers and parents where necessary.

Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime when required.


Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.

A passion for education and supporting children's development.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, resilience, and adaptability.

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
