About the role:

Elwood Recruitment are recruiting for Support Workers in Chingford. You will provide one to one support to male adults who have moderate to severe learning disabilities, behavioural challenges and autism.

The role involves providing day to day support with daily living tasks, activities and making full use of community opportunities. Every day is different as a support worker; you might be swimming, socialising, or supporting someone to find a college, learn to hoover, or work their laptop… but whatever you do, the people you support are always at the heart of your working day.

As part of the care and support team you will assist in maintaining a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to those living within the service.

Successful applicants will be:

· Supporting people with day to day activities

· Supporting personal and practical skills to enhance independent living

· Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on-going development plan.

· Managing complex behaviours that may challenge

· Support and engagement with a range of activities

Typical Shift Schedules / Patterns:

On offer we have flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle, giving you full control of when you would like to work. Candidates can expect to be offered a mixture of earlies, lates, long days and waking nights on a weekly basis.

Shift patterns include 07.15-14.15 and 14.15-21.45
