Temporary Accommodation Move on support WorkerHours: Mon-Fri - 09:00-17:00 - 37.50 hours a weekAssignment Length: 3 months Pay: 拢14.40paye/拢15.83paye or 拢18.20/拢20.40 umbrella dependent on experiencePurpose of the role: Providing move on support to people in temporary accommodation into longer term accommodation across LondonLocation of the role: 50% office based in the city and 50% Pan LondonThe temp accommodation can be in any London borough - Travel expenses are covered during working hoursCaseload: Support 15-20 low to medium support needs service users, including some people with immigration support needs - support is provided for 6-12 months. Support ends once they are in settled accommodation and no longer require support or have been linked in with alternative support providers.The successful candidate will:路 Arrange and provide 1-1 key work sessions with the aim of increasing independence and advancing people into longer term accommodation路 Carrying out and updating needs and risks Assessments路 Accompanying clients to appointments路 Helping clients get ID if they do not have it already路 Assisting with benefits applications路 Ensuring all clients are receiving the benefits they are eligible for To be successful in this role:路 Having sound knowledge on benefits, universal credit and right to work路 Possess great client interaction skills 路 Possess experience working with other external agencies 路 Need to be organised and be able to manage your own diary路 Must be IT literate, able to type up documents efficiently路 Possess housing knowledge and knowledge of the entitlement homeless clients have under different housing laws/ acts路 Possess experience and knowledge of the Homeless Reduction ActIf you are interested, please apply ASAP, this position is going to be a popular opportunity!
