Senior Parent Support Advisor (Case Worker)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Parent Support Advisor (Case Worker) to join our Early Help Service, working with families with children aged 0-18. The service provides preventative support and intervention to families in need, helping to strengthen relationships, improve well-being, and prevent escalation to statutory services. As a Case Worker, you will manage a varied and complex caseload, offering practical and emotional support to parents and carers while liaising with schools and partner agencies. You will need strong assessment skills, excellent written communication, and a clear understanding of risk to deliver effective family interventions and achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering early intervention strategies, working closely with parents and carers to build resilience, strengthen family relationships, and prevent escalation to statutory services. You will act as a liaison between families, schools, and partner agencies, ensuring a coordinated approach to support. The ability to assess risk, develop action plans, and adapt interventions to meet diverse family needs is essential. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the service, sharing best practices and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled professional to drive meaningful change in the community.
The role is hybrid, with 2-3 days office-based work, and requires direct engagement with families in the community. This is not a social worker role, but experience in a similar position is essential. You will be expected to manage caseloads within the Change and Challenge Service (CCS), facilitate interventions, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records using data management systems such as Excel, Access, Liquid Logic, and Civica. The position requires resilience and adaptability, as you will be supporting families facing challenging circumstances and complex needs. If you are passionate about empowering families and making a lasting impact, we would love to hear from you.
