Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Support Officer to work full time based in a Residential home in Camden.

The salary for this permanent Support Officer job is up to £26,037

Main Duties:

  • Carrying out assessments to identify and prioritise needs
  • Using SMART goal planning to provide needs led holistic support
  • Developing and maintaining positive links with key stakeholders
  • Creating an environment that promotes opportunities for customers to develop, learn and enable skills towards independence
  • Where required observing customers taking their medication & ensure appropriate records are maintained
  • Providing a comprehensive support planning service to customers in line with the department’s policies, procedures and approach
  • In accommodation-based services, liaising closely with the Housing Management Team to identify problems with Housing Benefit payments, review rent collection and address other tenancy-related matters
  • Supporting customers to develop the necessary skills to live independently, and to access training, education, and work

Requirements of this job:

  • Experience of working within a supported living service within the mental health sector
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults with challenging behaviours
  • Experience of undertaking customer assessments, support planning and key-working with a clear outcome focus
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload. Must be able to work shift rota.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in writing including the preparation of letters, reports and file notes
  • The ability to contribute to effective team working
  • The ability to provide regular monitoring information as required
  • Confidence to lone work once fully trained within the role
  • The ability to represent One Housing to other agencies and companies where necessary
