The role: Young Person Project Worker

Location: Leyton - E11

Rate: £16.24 P/H

Contract: Full Time Contact

We are currently looking for a Young Person's Worker to join a housing support service for young people (16+) in the E11 Postcode area who are owed housing duty by the local authority. This temporary role spans approximately 2-3 months, with 37.5 hours per week across a rotating schedule from Monday to Sunday. Shifts vary between 8 AM and 10:30 PM, with weekend work every other week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 9 young people, co-creating support plans and risk assessments.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming environment across 3 nearby services in Greenwich.
  • Collaborate with social workers, housing managers, and external agencies to support each young person's journey to independence.

Must-Have Experience:

  1. Youth Support: Experience working with young people, especially those facing mental health and attachment challenges.
  2. Trauma-Informed Practice: Familiarity with trauma-informed, attachment-focused approaches to assess and support young people.
  3. Life Skills Development: Experience helping young adults build life skills, gain independence, and access education, work, or training.
