Job Opportunity: Experienced Support Workers for Active 16-Year-Old (Camden)

Salary: £20 per hour, paid weekly.

Are you an experienced and confident support worker with a passion for making a difference? We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals to support a 16-year-old male on the Autism spectrum in the Queens Crescent area of Camden.

About the Role
This young man requires 2:1 support for 8 hours a week, divided between:

  • 2/3 sessions after school during the week.

Sessions can be scheduled flexibly to suit your availability and the family’s needs. In the summer, the package will increase to 24 hours a week (12 hours per support worker).

He has a Positive Behaviour Support Plan and is a nonverbal communicator. His behaviour can be impulsive and unpredictable, as he faces challenges expressing himself. He is active, enjoys outings, and holds a gym membership—he’d love to go swimming regularly!

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting individuals on the Autism spectrum.
  • Confidence in handling impulsive and unpredictable behaviours.
  • Ability to foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment.

  • Hours: 8 hours weekly (16 hours total with 2:1 support).
  • Start: Immediate.
  • Contract: One year.
  • Flexibility: Sessions to be arranged with the family.
