The Opportunity:Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Long Term Futures is looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive school in Havering. This role focuses on providing targeted behavioral and emotional support to students, enabling them to engage positively with their education and achieve personal growth.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in schools, mentoring, or youth work.
  • A strong understanding of effective behavior management strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • A calm, patient, and solution-focused approach to handling challenging situations.
  • A genuine commitment to helping students reach their full potential both socially and academically.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering one-to-one and small group support sessions to address behavioral challenges and foster positive engagement.
  • Encouraging students to develop skills such as emotional regulation, resilience, and self-confidence.
  • Collaborating with teachers, pastoral staff, and families to create tailored behavior support plans.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates progress and achievement.
  • Monitoring student progress, adapting strategies as needed, and providing regular updates to the school team and parents.
  • Assisting with whole-school initiatives aimed at improving behavior and emotional well-being.
