Lead Eating Disorder Therapist

Location: Central London

Salary: Competitive, with an additional London Allowance plus all company benefits 

Working Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week / Maximum 37.5 hours per week

About the Role: I am seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Eating Disorder Therapist to oversee our client's Eating Disorders Service. This role involves managing the delivery of evidence-based group and one-to-one therapy sessions, ensuring clinical oversight, and liaising with various departments to provide a seamless experience for service users. The successful candidate will prioritize continuous development and quality improvement within the therapy programs.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the delivery of group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Provide clinical and managerial supervision to the therapy team.
  • Lead the strategic development of therapy programs and implement new modalities.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, including planning and evaluating interventions.
  • Ensure efficient management of team resources, including attendance and leave.
  • Provide clinical input on complex cases and deliver supervision to team members.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Head of Therapies.
  • Foster an open and honest dialogue within the therapy department.
  • Attend relevant meetings and coordinate emergency group cover as needed.
  • Implement evaluation measures to improve therapy programs.

Training and Development:

  • Support mandatory training and conduct performance reviews.
  • Identify and address areas for skills development within the team.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Diploma/Postgraduate Diploma/Doctorate in Counselling/Psychotherapy or Counselling Psychology/Clinical Psychology.
  • Registration with BACP, UKCP, BABCP, or HCPC.
  • Previous experience working with eating disorders and managing a team.
  • Knowledge and experience in assessment, formulation, and treatment of eating disorders.
  • Experience in an inpatient mental health setting is essential.
