About Us:We are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for our students. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Wellbeing Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the wellbeing and academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attendance Lead for a Year Group:Monitor and improve student attendance, working closely with students, parents, and staff to address attendance issues.
  • Operational Support for a Year Group:Assist in the day-to-day operations of the year group, including organising events, managing schedules, and supporting the Head of Year (HOY).
  • Wellbeing and Check-ins:Conduct regular wellbeing check-ins with students, providing support and guidance to ensure their emotional and mental health.
  • Supporting HOY for Referrals to Interventions:Collaborate with the HOY to identify students in need of additional support and refer them to appropriate interventions.
  • Duties:Participate in school duties, including supervision during breaks and lunchtimes, and ensuring a safe and positive school environment.
  • Home Visits:Conduct home visits to support students and families, addressing any concerns and fostering strong home-school relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a pastoral or wellbeing role within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
