Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Personal Advisor for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will provide support to care leavers, helping them transition to independent living by developing tailored Pathway Plans and collaborating with a range of professionals to ensure their well-being and success.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with care leavers, supporting them in achieving independence.
  • Develop and review Pathway Plans in collaboration with young people and other professionals, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Provide practical assistance and advice, helping care leavers navigate housing, employment, education, and other life challenges.
  • Monitor and assess risk in care leavers' accommodation and support settings, escalating any concerns to management.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and assessments in line with Hackney Council's standards.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience working directly with children, young people, and families.
  • Experience in developing and reviewing support plans, such as Pathway Plans.
  • Experience working with care leavers or vulnerable young people in a social care setting.
  • Experience in managing a caseload independently, prioritising tasks, and meeting deadlines.

What's on offer:

Salary: £20+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
