Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Accommodation Solutions Officer for a local authority client based in West London.

In this role, you will provide housing options advice, manage temporary accommodation placements, and support residents in transitioning to permanent housing solutions while ensuring compliance with legal and policy frameworks.

Key Duties:

  • Manage placements and suitability assessments for temporary accommodation, ensuring compliance with policies and statutory requirements.
  • Provide housing options advice, assist with emergency transfers, and liaise with external agencies for support services.
  • Monitor and support households in temporary accommodation, ensuring adherence to tenancy conditions and promoting move-on to permanent housing.
  • Handle customer queries, investigate tenancy issues, contribute to policy development, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience delivering frontline housing services, including assessing housing needs and managing temporary accommodation placements.
  • Proven ability to handle complex cases, resolve housing-related issues, and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing a demanding workload, providing written reports, and ensuring clear and concise documentation.
  • Knowledge of homelessness and welfare reform policies, with experience in liaising with housing providers, legal teams, and external agencies.

What's on offer:

Salary: £20+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
