Your new role

We have an opportunity for a Human Rights Manager to join our client's team in London. The team works on a hybrid working basis.

  • Contract: 2 months (with visibility to extend)
  • Daily rate: £600 per day through umbrella
  • Hours: 40, Monday to Friday

As a Human Rights Manager, you will support the development and execution of our client's approach to human rights issues across their Group, focusing on delivering reporting requirements, including CSRD. The successful candidate will engage with a wide range of stakeholders to enhance the understanding of our client's human rights responsibilities and commitments.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and delivery of our client's human rights strategy and governance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in Group functions and local markets to drive the development and delivery of human rights programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and our client's Human Rights Policy.
  • Conduct internal policy assurance and testing of human rights controls.
  • Collaborate with the business on relevant human rights issues and make recommendations.
  • Ensure the organisation is on track with reporting requirements.
  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders to enhance their understanding of human rights responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in human rights, with extensive experience preferred.
  • Experience in a business or consultancy setting, addressing complex human rights issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of driving complex governance programmes.
  • Ability to quickly grasp requirements and use your own initiative.
  • Proactive, organised, and good at dealing with people.
