Homelessness Prevention Adviser

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Homelessness Prevention Adviser to provide specialist advice and support to individuals at risk of homelessness. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housing professional to make a meaningful impact by helping people secure sustainable housing and access essential services.

In this role, you will offer tailored advice to customers approaching the Housing Options and Advice Service, guiding them through a range of housing solutions, welfare benefits, employment and training opportunities, and debt management support. You will work directly with individuals and families in insecure housing situations, including those at immediate risk of homelessness, young people, and households in temporary accommodation.

A key aspect of the role will be collaborating with the Housing Allocation Services to maximise homelessness prevention efforts and ensure individuals can access a broad range of housing options. You will also work closely with the Private Sector Initiatives Team to develop housing solutions that meet the needs of homeless households and those in urgent need of accommodation.

The ideal candidate will have strong case management experience, excellent communication skills, and an in-depth knowledge of housing legislation, homelessness prevention strategies, and welfare benefits. You will be required to manage a varied caseload, provide effective solutions, and work with partner agencies to support those in need.

Please note that this is not a hybrid role, and applicants will be required to be based at our client's offices. If you have experience in housing advice, homelessness prevention, or tenancy support and are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
