Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive housing and tenancy support, managing a variety of resident enquiries, promoting digital self-service, and ensuring efficient service delivery while contributing to the improvement of housing processes and safeguarding vulnerable residents.

About the role:You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Respond promptly to housing-related enquiries via phone, email, and digital platforms, ensuring efficient and accurate resolution.
  • Provide tailored housing and tenancy advice to council tenants and their families, identifying and addressing their needs.
  • Conduct assessments of residents' situations, identifying risks or vulnerabilities, and escalate concerns where necessary.
  • Manage housing assets effectively, ensuring the letting of properties complies with policy and that all documentation is completed correctly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external services to provide holistic support and make appropriate referrals to safeguard residents.

About you:The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience providing advice and practical assistance in a social housing, public sector, or similar customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with housing provisions, including rental and leasehold markets, and tenancy management services.
  • Experience managing a high volume of customer enquiries and processing housing-related transactions efficiently.
  • Experience conducting risk and vulnerability assessments for residents and escalating concerns appropriately.

What's on offer:Salary: £22+ph*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
