About the Role:An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join a dynamic housing team within the London Borough of Lambeth. This role is responsible for supervising a team of Neighbourhood Housing Officers, Assistant Neighbourhood Housing Officers, and Estate Caretaking staff, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality frontline housing service to tenants, leaseholders, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team, ensuring effective service delivery, performance management, and staff development.

  • Oversee tenancy and estate management, including tenancy enforcement, anti-social behaviour cases, and resident engagement.

  • Manage housing casework, ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements and council policies.

  • Work closely with tenant and resident associations, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, financial controls, and legal requirements.

  • Conduct estate inspections, monitor contract compliance, and oversee maintenance services.

  • Respond promptly to complaints, member enquiries, and disputes, ensuring effective resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in social housing, housing management, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy enforcement, and best practices.

  • Experience supervising teams, handling complex tenancy issues, and managing performance.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend meetings.
