Job Role

To play a lead role providing guidance, expert input and support to the team to carry a case load of households in temporary accommodation and provide individual advice and assessments for these, managing expectation, promoting available housing options and helping clients make reasonable and informed decisions about their future housing.

To ensure that rehousing officers effectively manage their cases from assessment to let, while simultaneously ensuring that properties in the private sector that are available to customers are allocated fairly and in a timely manner to minimise void periods.

To supervise the allocation of temporary accommodation units to transfer listed approved homeless households that are unable to move to the private sector. Working to help households living in temporary accommodation to make positive, timely moves into settled accommodation in the private rented sector.
