We are expanding our portfolio of temporary accommodation, including council-owned properties, leased housing, hostels, and nightly paid accommodation both within and outside Camden. As a Housing Management Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring these homes are well-maintained, safe, and fully compliant with health and safety regulations.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing an enhanced, customer-focused housing management service to households in temporary accommodation.
  • Ensuring properties are well maintained and meet all health & safety requirements.
  • Supporting residents with Housing Benefit applications and ensuring rent accounts are correctly set up and payments are collected.
  • Building strong relationships with landlords and property providers, ensuring compliance with repairing obligations and housing safety standards.
  • Managing tenancy agreements, addressing breaches, and taking appropriate action where necessary to sustain tenancies.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in housing management, property maintenance, or a similar customer-focused role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with landlords and tenants effectively.
  • A proactive and organised approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management is desirable but not essential.
