Salary: £30,350 - £43,675 per annum

Job Type: Initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension

The organisation is based in Forest Hill SE23 which is 20 mins from London Bridge mainline station. The contract is for one year (with the possibility of an extension) and they welcome applicants who have lived experience of drugs, alcohol, homelessness or mental health challenges. The role is for 37 hours per week, but they are willing to consider part time applicants or a job share.

The Role

This is a new and exciting role based in Lewisham for a Development and Volunteer coordinator lead. The role entails managing a team of volunteers and Peer mentors to deliver a service to Lewisham residents who are experiencing Drug and/or alcohol use and support Peer mentors to distribute Naloxone to the local community.They are looking for an innovative and creative person to develop and implement a buddying system and a telephone helpline which will be staffed by a team of volunteers.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experienced working in a lead or supervisory role would be beneficial.
  • Experience working with IT packages such as Microsoft word and excel.
  • Be able to undertake basic administrative tasks.
  • Great communication skills are essential.
  • Be able to have an empathetic approach when dealing with service users.
