As our National Volunteering Manager, you will play a crucial role in achieving this vision by leading and implementing our organisation-wide volunteering strategy. You will coordinate activities and provide direct support to enable management to develop a robust volunteer workforce.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of an organisation-wide volunteering strategy to enhance the involvement and contribution of volunteers.
  • Promote the value of volunteering - showcasing the benefits and initiatives that volunteers bring to our work.
  • Collaborate with other charities and organisations to share best practices, policies, and procedures in volunteer management.
  • Develop frameworks for high-quality support and management of volunteers, ensuring consistent volunteer development.
  • Establish performance indicators to demonstrate the impact of volunteering, including increasing volunteer headcount and diversity.
  • Create positive outcomes and rewards for volunteers, such as skills development, accreditation, and recognition.
  • Maintain robust checking processes for volunteers, ensuring thorough auditing of processes and outcomes.
  • Build strong communication networks with key decision-makers and influencers in local and central governments.
  • Achieve and maintain accreditation for the organisation in Investors in Volunteering.
  • Integrate volunteers into workforce planning and development strategies in collaboration with the People and Organisation Division

Who You'll Work With:

  • Internal Contacts: Inclusion Team, Corporate Fundraising, Senior Managers, People Partners, and Subject-Matter Experts.
  • External Contacts: Office of the Third Sector, Volunteer Development Agencies, Network of National Volunteer-Involving Agencies, and more.
  • Line manage- 1 Volunteering Officer
  • Flexible working -25 hours a week, will be considered 4-or 5 days -09:00 -16:00
