As a Test Automation & Release Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of the development efforts, ensuring that the software is reliable, efficient, and ready to serve the community. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of the organisational services and the satisfaction of the users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate with Impact: Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts that elevate software quality to new heights.
  • Innovative Frameworks: Develop cutting-edge test automation frameworks that enhance testing capabilities and streamline processes.
  • Quality Champion: Identify and document bugs in the tracking system, playing a vital role in delivering flawless software.
  • Strategic Test Planning: Prioritize test scenarios and create execution plans that ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Documentation Guru: Craft clear and engaging documentation for automated processes, including test plans and procedures, to empower your teammates.
  • Release Maestro: Manage releases seamlessly between environments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

Who You Are:

  • Sector Savvy: A solid understanding of the housing association landscape and the various products and services offered.
  • Regulatory Insight: Familiarity with the legislative and regulatory requirements impacting your work, with an eye for spotting potential risks.
  • Health and Safety Advocate: A proactive approach to maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills to assess trends in data, ensuring accuracy and timely responses to any data concerns.
  • Contract Accountability: A commitment to achieving contract outcomes within budget, with the ability to identify and manage risks effectively.

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript (preferably TypeScript) and C# .NET.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, such as:
    • JavaScript: Selenium, Playwright, Jest
    • C#: NUnit, xUnit, MSTest
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Desirable:

  • Experience with EasyRepro.
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Proficiency in SQL (preferably T-SQL).
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
