Milk Education are in partnership with a Special school in Earls Court who cater to children 2 – 11 years old with Autism and Sensory processing difficulties. This school has driven the creation of an adapted curriculum, tailored to provide holistic support for those with additional learning needs. Through this carefully crafted approach, we offer enriching experiences that inspire and empower, fostering academic, social, emotional, and physical development.

We are looking for a passionate Psychology Graduates who is inclusive and has had experience teaching SEN students in Key Stage 1 and 2 who can help grow an innovative SEND department. We offer many opportunities for growth to our LSA's, and the ability or interest in teaching would be an advantage.

Class room Support Assistant roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to students with special educational needs & disabilities
  • Provide instructional support and guidance to students during class and in one-to-one settings to ensure their academic and personal growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress, recording and reporting on their achievements and activities.
  • Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of students, providing appropriate care and guidance, including first aid and self-care skills training.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour as required by the school policy.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment, fostering positive relationships, and celebrating students' achievements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure the effective inclusion of students with special educational needs in all aspects of school life.
  • Complete administrative tasks in support of teaching and learning objectives, including organizing resources and preparing materials.
  • Cater for specific additional needs of the learner, including assisting with personal hygiene tasks, hoisting and positioning, PEG feeding, eating and drinking, administering medication and monitoring general well-being amongst other tasks.
