Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!We are working with a primary school in Thamesmead, Greenwich, that is establishing a specialist hub dedicated to children with SEN. The school is seeking dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis and make a real difference in the lives of these children.
The RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant in the school’s new specialist hub, you will:• Support children who require time out from the classroom due to their additional needs.• Work with pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs.• Collaborate closely with teachers and fellow Learning Support Assistants to plan and deliver engaging learning and development activities.• Provide support to pupils across a variety of classes, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
The school is looking for individuals who:• Have prior experience supporting children or adults with SEN.• Possess a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.• Are patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.• Are enthusiastic about contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
