About the Role:Long Term Futures is seeking a dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join a large secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This diverse and inclusive school offers fantastic facilities and a supportive environment for both staff and students.

This role involves working with SEN secondary students, providing targeted academic and emotional support across a range of subjects. It's an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, seasoned Assistants, and graduates who are eager to gain experience and grow in a supportive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing tailored assistance in their learning across core and foundation subjects
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt resources and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to engage confidently in their studies
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, monitoring their progress and adapting interventions as needed
  • Contribute to the school's inclusive ethos, working as part of a diverse and supportive staff body
  • Assist in the development of personalised learning plans to help students achieve their full potential

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEN secondary students, ideally in a school setting
  • Strong all-round subject knowledge and the ability to support students across a variety of subjects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students and staff
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a passion for supporting students' development
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Additional Information:

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday
  • Paid up to £105 per day, term time only
  • Based in Tower Hamlets, London - with excellent public transport links
