About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a 1-form entry primary school in Southwark. This full-time role starts in January and focuses on supporting KS1 pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils in small groups or 1:1 sessions.
- Assist children with SEND, including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Speech and Language Needs
- ADHD
- Sensory Processing Challenges
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
- Dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
- Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to implement and support Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Help create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and parents.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
