SEN Learning Support Assistant - Stratford - ASAP Start

Timeplan Education are looking for strong, dynamic, and resilient Learning Support Assistants to work at an SEN school in the borough of Stratford

Job Requirements

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 and group support to students with diverse needs, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning disabilities
  • Assisting students in achieving their individual EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) targets
  • Supporting teaching staff in delivering a well-structured curriculum adapted to each student's specific requirements
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and assisting with the implementation of behaviour management strategies
  • Helping students engage in sensory activities, tailored to suit their learning needs and preferences

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • Experience working within a SEN or educational setting, ideally with children or young adults with special needs or be open to completing relevant training regarding working within SEN environments.
  • A strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning disabilities
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students, encouraging a sense of independence and self-confidence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for working collaboratively with the team, students, and parents#.
