Location: Camden, LondonSalary: £85 - £100 per dayJob Type: Full-Time, TemporaryAbout the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 child in a primary school in Camden. In addition to providing one-on-one support, the successful candidate will also perform general teaching assistant duties within the classroom.Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a Year 2 child with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist with implementing the child's individualised education plan (IEP).
  • Support the class teacher with general classroom activities and administrative tasks.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage social interaction and support the development of social skills.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs if required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
