One of the leading Speech and Language Mainstream Primary Schools in London are searching for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to support one of their Year 1 students on 1:1 basis.
The student has a diagnosis of ASC (Autism) and will need support to access the curriculum. The student also has access to the school's language base, therefore this role would suit somebody with an interest in supporting language development and working with other professionals.
This fantastic Primary School based in the heart of Camden are a 2-form entry mainstream school with a specialised Speech & Language Unit attached. This is to give children and therapists the space to work and progress with various activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
Your role as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will include but not be limited to:

Working 1:1 with a targeted child with a diagnosis of ASC

Autism support

Cognitive and Language support
-
Supporting in class and in small groups

Collaborating with Teachers, SENCO and therapists

Full time role: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Long term role - until at least July 2025

Ā£100+ per day

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
The ideal candidate for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will have the following:

Strong academic background - educated to a degree level from a reputable University
-
Experience in a previous SEN role, or personal experience with SEN would be ideal
-
Experience working with children - ideally in a school setting
-
Ideal for those who are compassionate, confident and calm
-
You must be able to commit to the entire academic year, until July 2025
