We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for someone who is available for last-minute assignments starting early in the morning and is open to a position that could potentially become long-term or permanent.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Be available to receive phone calls from 7am for same-day assignments.
  • Work closely with students with special educational needs (SEN) from 8:30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Assist SEN students in their daily school activities, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed in their educational environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to facilitate a supportive and effective educational experience for all students.
  • Adapt to varying educational settings and student needs with flexibility and a positive attitude.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to last-minute calls.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to handling the varied needs of SEN students.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
