Sonic Summary
- We are seeking 5 Learning Support Assistants to work full-time across two schools in Tower Hamlets.
- One school focuses on supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) aged 4-18, while the other supports secondary-aged students with autism in a small class setting.
- Candidates should have knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and experience with PECS, Basic Makaton, or manual handling.
- The roles require flexibility, commitment, and the ability to assist with personal care, with great rates of pay offered.
- Applicants should have a minimum of one year of relevant experience and will undergo an enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
School 1
Supporting pupils with PMLD
Aged 4 - 18
- Across all aspects of the curriculum
- Helping with the development of speech and language and communication needs
- Group work and 1:1
- Full time
- Monday to Friday
School 2
Secondary aged students with Autism
Supporting in a class of 6 students
- Knowledge of all areas of SEN required
- Preparing students for college and Life Skills
- Full time
- Monday to Friday
We will be looking to recruit Teaching Assistants with the following skillset;
- Knowledge and understanding of SEN
- Experience with PECS, Basic Makaton or Manual Handling/Use of hoists
- Comfortable in supporting all aspects of Personal Care
- Flexible, committed and able to provide continuity for the school
