SEN Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Unit (KS1 & KS2) - Tower Hamlets

Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking to make a real difference in children's lives? A mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated SEN LSA to join their specialist unit, supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the SEN Teacher to deliver tailored learning experiences for children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties. If you have a Level 4 HLTA qualification and a commitment to inclusive education, we want to hear from you!


Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Unit (KS1 & KS2)




Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the SEN Teacher to plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, adapting resources and strategies to suit diverse learning styles.

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), tracking student progress and providing feedback.

  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.

  • Work as part of the SEN team, liaising with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other staff to ensure cohesive support for pupils.




Experience & Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting is required.

  • Knowledge of supporting children across KS1 and KS2 is highly desirable.

  • A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
