Duration: Long Term until July 2025 with the view to go permanent from September 2025.

Academics are working with a fantastic mainstream Primary School in Havering who are seeking a passionate and driven SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a young pupil in year 1 with Autism. This is a highly reputable school with a well-organised and supportive senior leadership team who are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. The SEN Learning Support Assistant will play a crucial role in the on-going development, education and training for children who require targeted support.
Duties and Responsibilities of the SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Provide specialist support to young children with Special Educational Needs under the direct of the SENCO.
- Assist pupils with their learning and development, both in and out of the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met.
- Report on pupil progress and report back to class teacher and SENCO.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student
