Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 child with challenging behaviour in a mainstream primary school. This 1:1 role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN TA to make a real difference in a child's education and development.

The Role:
  • Providing 1:1 support for a KS2 child with SEN and challenging behaviour.

  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and offering emotional and academic support.

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop tailored support strategies.

  • Creating a structured and positive learning environment to help the child succeed.

  • Encouraging positive social interactions and supporting emotional regulation.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEN children, particularly those with challenging behaviour.

  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build a trusting relationship.

  • Experience in a primary school setting is highly desirable.

  • A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
