SEN Teaching Assistant - London

About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in the classroom by:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons that meet individual needs.
- Encouraging and motivating students to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Supporting the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to contribute to the growth and success of SEN students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with lesson planning and classroom activities.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to provide personalised support.
- Foster positive relationships with students to build their confidence and independence.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all learners.
- Support students' emotional and social development alongside their academic progress.
What We're Looking For
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
- Flexibility and confidence to work with different age groups and needs.
- A positive attitude, patience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with SEN children (preferred).
- The ability to travel to schools across London.
