We are excited to welcome a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Newham, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 5 student. Responsibilities:

  • Offer focused 1:1 support to a Year 5 student, adapting learning materials to meet individual needs.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and growth.
  • Support the classroom teacher with lesson planning and tailored interventions to enhance learning.
  • Implement specific strategies to support the student's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Track and communicate student progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher and SEN team.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally in a 1:1 capacity.
  • Understanding of SEN practices and the ability to implement effective learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
