Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a strong understanding of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum requirements and a commitment to supporting students' individual learning needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Teaching Assistant specialising in SEN in Richmond Upon Thames, London.

Role Overview:

As a Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant specialising in SEN, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with SEN. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff and SENCO.

Key Responsibilities as SEN TA:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Adapt and differentiate classroom activities and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to support students' progress and well-being.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress, achievements, and behaviour, and contribute to the review and evaluation of support interventions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special educational needs, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • A good understanding of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
