Reeson Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a welcoming primary school located in the borough of Waltham Forest, covering areas such as Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, and Chingford. Role Highlights for an SEN Teaching Assistant:- Daily Rate: £80-£100, dependent on experience.
- Start Date: Immediate or flexible to suit availability.
- Location: Supportive and inclusive schools across Waltham Forest.
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist in implementing the pupil's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment to help the pupil engage in learning and develop social skills.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistency in support.
- Employ patience and creativity to manage behaviour and promote inclusion.
- Previous experience working with children with ASD or other SEN needs is essential.
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with school staff and parents.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 in Childcare or SEN-specific training, are advantageous but not required.
