SEN Teaching Assistant

Reeson Education is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a dedicated SEN unit within a mainstream primary school in the borough of Waltham Forest, including areas like Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, and Chingford. This role focuses on providing small group support for pupils with a range of needs, including speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.

• Daily Rate: £80-£100, depending on experience.
• Start Date: Immediate or January 2025.
• Location: Thriving schools in East London's Waltham Forest borough.

• Provide tailored support to small groups of pupils in the SEN unit, promoting their learning and personal development.
• Assist the teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and interventions.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages engagement and progress.
• Support pupils in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills.

• Experience working with children with SEN, including SEMH, speech and language needs, or moderate learning difficulties.
• A proactive and nurturing approach to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers and therapists.
• Relevant training or qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Childcare, SEN-specific training) are advantageous but not essential.
