A SEN school in the Borough of Harrow is looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students with a range of SEN, including language and communication difficulties, as well as children who have been diagnosed with Autism / ASD.
The school offers a happy, safe, friendly and stimulating environment in which children are supported to learn, interact and have fun through a child-centred approach to learning. The school has an on-site Therapy team, with whom the SEN Teaching Assistant will work alongside, to support children throughout their learning journey.

Job description - SEN Teaching Assistant
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Working in a SEN school
- Supporting children with a range of SEN needs
- Working 1:1 with individual children, and in small groups
- Liaising with SEN professionals at the school
- Full Time & Long-Term Role - until at least July 2025
- Ā£90 - Ā£100 per day (depending on experience)
- Located in the borough of Harrow
Person Specification - SEN Teaching Assistant
- A strong academic background - GCSEs, A Levels and a degree from a reputable university
- Previous experience working in a similar role, or your own personal experience working with children with SEN is desirable
- Excellent behaviour management strategies
- Caring, compassionate and calm nature
- Patience and passion for supporting children with SEN
- Ability to work as part of a team
