About the Role:
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support).

In this role, you'll provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them navigate their learning environment and develop socially and academically.

Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide Individualised Support: Work closely with the pupil, tailoring support to their specific needs and learning style.
  • Foster Confidence: Help the pupil engage with classroom activities, build independence, and develop self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective support strategies.
  • Behaviour Management: Use positive behaviour techniques to help the pupil manage challenges effectively.
  • Track Progress: Monitor and report on the pupil's development, ensuring strategies are effective and adjustments are made where needed.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for helping children overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
