About the Role:- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support).
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, dependent on experience.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
In this role, you'll provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them navigate their learning environment and develop socially and academically.
Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:- Provide Individualised Support: Work closely with the pupil, tailoring support to their specific needs and learning style.
- Foster Confidence: Help the pupil engage with classroom activities, build independence, and develop self-esteem.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective support strategies.
- Behaviour Management: Use positive behaviour techniques to help the pupil manage challenges effectively.
- Track Progress: Monitor and report on the pupil's development, ensuring strategies are effective and adjustments are made where needed.
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for helping children overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
