SEND Learning Support Assistant (1:1)

- Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Contract Duration: Until 17th July
A wonderful primary school in Camden are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 2, starting after February half-term. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, running from 24th February 2025 until the end of the summer term on 17th July 2025.
The Role:
You will be supporting a pre-verbal child who is working below target and requires personal care. The successful candidate will assist with reading and teaching phonics, while providing tailored support to help the child make progress in their learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff members, and maintain open communication with the child's parents to discuss development.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
- Experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is highly desirable.
- A consistent, committed, and proactive individual who can use their initiative.
- Able to provide personal care as required.
- Experience supporting children with communication needs.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with staff and parents on the child's progress.
- Someone with a passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their individual needs.
