The Role:- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, based on experience.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Location: Enfield, North London.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a Key Stage 1 pupil with ASD, helping them navigate their learning environment and reach their potential. This role requires someone with a nurturing approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the child's individual needs.
What You'll Do as an SEN Teaching Assistant:- Work 1:1 with the pupil, providing emotional and academic support tailored to their specific needs.
- Assist the class teacher in creating and delivering lessons that engage and motivate the child.
- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and social interaction.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to monitor and track progress.
- Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to foster confidence and independence.
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally with children who have ASD.
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to working with pupils with additional needs.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- A commitment to making a positive impact on the child's development and well-being.
- Understanding of SEN strategies and approaches is desirable but not essential.
