SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking a special needs (SEN) teaching assistant. The role will be working in a KS3 (year 7/ year 8) class. The students all have severe learning difficulties (SLD)

The role is full-time.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The school caters to students aged from Reception to Year 14 who have moderate to severe and complex learning difficulties as a primary need or as a dual diagnosis to their medical, sensory and/or physical needs.

The school prides itself on a warm and supportive staff environment where teachers always work in collaboration and as a team. The school is an innovative and fun place for students to learn and thrive in a safe and supportive environment, where independence is prioritised.??

The school also has a fabulous SEMH team, and behaviour mentors.

As a teaching assistant working with special needs (SEN)

  • Be willing to work with challenging behaviour
  • Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges
  • Have experience in a special needs (SEN) setting?

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

  • Provide dedicated support in all classes, helping student's access learning materials and fully engage in activities
  • Encourage social interaction
  • Assist with behaviour management
  • Work closely with the school's inclusion team to implement individualized strategies
  • Provide support to classroom teacher
