Support Assistant - Part-Time Opportunity

We are recruiting a Support Assistant on behalf of our client to join a dynamic and expanding team delivering an award-winning programme for young people aged 19-25 as part of their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). This rewarding role focuses on providing person-centred support to help young people achieve positive outcomes, develop independence, and reach their goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or supporting people in services that apply Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). You will need to work sensitively and adaptively with young people who may occasionally engage in behaviours of concern, implementing strategies in line with their PBS plans. The role involves personal care, including assistance with feeding, toileting, and manual handling, as well as supporting the delivery of activities and achieving EHCP outcomes.

This is a part-time, term-time only role (28.8 hours per week) and requires flexibility to work across two sites. Although this is an unqualified position, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
