Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary Range:
£90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: January 2025, 8:30 am – 3:45 pm  
Contract: Long-term, Full-time 

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ready to make a positive impact? If so, GSL Education are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant in Tower Hamlets for a long-term, full-time role starting in January 2025.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one and group support to SEN students, particularly those with ASD.
  • Assist in creating and delivering engaging activities tailored to individual student needs.
  • Help to implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively.
  • Support students' personal care needs, including nappy changing, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and adapt teaching strategies.
  • Communicate progress and challenges with parents and school staff effectively.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of ASD and SEN strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting children.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
