Location:Westminster, LondonSalary: £60 - £70 per dayJob Type: Part-Time, Temporary About the Role:Are you looking for a job for 20 hours a week?We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 child in a primary school in Westminster. The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support and assist with general teaching assistant duties within the classroom.Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a Year 6 child with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist with implementing the child's individualised education plan (IEP).
  • Support the class teacher with general classroom activities and administrative tasks.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage social interaction and support the development of social skills.
  • Assist them in their adjustment to secondary school

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
