£31,251 - £47,839 per annum: MPS / UPS Fringe London

A secondary special school in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for students aged 11 to 19 with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties. A significant proportion of our learners have additional sensory and physical impairments.

The desired SEN Teacher will have:

  • Have QTS  
  • Have experience of working with children and young people with SLD/PMLD/ASD
  • Have good communication skills, be a team player and an innate drive to make a difference
  • Be creative and have an enthusiastic, imaginative and caring approach to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Have high expectations of learners’ achievements relating to communication, independence, inclusion in the community and behaviour.
  • Have the ability to lead a team of support staff, who are there to help plan, assess and assist
  • Be willing to learn how to use our developmental skills framework and 4 year Curriculum Coverage which supports consistency and reduces workload
