Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Class Teacher / English Teacher to join an SEMH Specialist School in South West London, SW17.

Details:

SEN English Teacher (KS3/4)

Full Time, 5 days per week

Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Start Date: September 2024

Paid according to your teaching scale

Long term position with potential to turn into a permanent placement

Located in Tooting, SW17

Details:

You will be teaching English from a bespoke curriculum to KS3/4 students who are learning at various levels and have complex behavioural needs. Some students are working towards their GCSEs, while others are at the entry level or functional skills level. Therefore, you should be comfortable teaching across a range of abilities.

The PRU has only seven students, each of whom receives 1:1 support. All students have diagnoses of ASD, SEMH, PTSD, related SEN and have been referred to the PRU.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Teaching qualifications or relevant teaching experience within a PRU.
  • Specialised SEN teaching experience is essential
  • A valid DBS check on the update service
  • The right to work full-time in the UK
